Dr. Chinyere Osuji is a writer who publishes widely on how Blacks around the world interact with people of other ethnic and racial backgrounds. She is an Associate Professor of African American and Africana Studies at the University of Maryland-College Park. Dr. Osuji conducted over 100 interviews in Brazil and the United States for her book Boundaries of Love: Interracial Marriage and the Meaning of Race with NYU Press. Dr. Osuji’s work for popular audiences appears in Popsugar, Inthefray, The Philadelphia Inquirer, as well as on her personal blog. Her recent scholarly work has been published in Social Sciences, Contexts, and British Journal of Sociology. Her experiences navigating healthcare with a disability and her Nigerian background have inspired her book manuscript on African immigrants in U.S. nursing. Dr. Osuji is also writing a book about navigating Korean drama fandom. She speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese, can read a little hangul (Korean), and is learning Igbo.
