Big Brother returned on July 10, 2025, for its 27th season, and among this year’s houseguests is Adrian Rocha, a carpenter from San Antonio. As part of the cast revealed by CBS in a July 9 preseason interview, Adrian spoke about his mindset entering the house and how he hopes to balance competition with his personal values.
Adrian explained his approach to the show. He shared that he has been preparing himself mentally and physically for the challenges ahead but admitted that staying emotionally detached may be a struggle.
"I know one of the rules is to play logically and not emotionally, but I really care about the people I meet," he said.
Adrian is the sixth contestant from San Antonio to appear on Big Brother, though none have won the show so far.
His participation places him in a cast that includes a wide range of personalities, including a bull rider, a dungeon master from McKinney, and an aura painter.
Fans can watch Adrian and the rest of the houseguests compete for the $750,000 prize every week on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
During his CBS interview, Adrian said the game was about being social, thinking smart, and staying strong. He said he had been preparing for the physical part and had thought about how to connect with others.
But he felt the emotional part could be harder. He explained that he is usually very honest and finds it tough not to care about the people he meets.
"This game is known for three things: the social, the strategical, and the physical," he shared.
Adrian admitted that he understood the importance of playing logically rather than emotionally, but he questioned whether he could completely separate the two in the Big Brother house.
He felt that his emotional responses might impact his gameplay, especially when it comes to forming bonds or making difficult decisions.
He also suggested that while honesty might seem like a strength, it could put him in tough situations in a competitive environment.
Overall, Adrian’s comments indicated a focus on self-awareness, and he seemed to recognise that navigating personal values in the game could become a challenge.
This season’s twist is called the “Hotel Mystère.” The house has secret passageways, an attic, a conservatory, and a wine cellar—though it does not include real wine.
The setup suggests that there will be new tasks or surprises that could affect how the game is played.
Along with the main cast, one more houseguest, Rachel Riley joined the Hotel Mystère. This mystery person was revealed during the season 27 preimere of Big Brother, and CBS has only said there will be hidden rooms and strange features that may change the game.
Some of the other houseguests include Ava Pearl, who paints auras and wears a floppy hat in her photo, and Vince Panaro, an unemployed man from California with a unique look.
The group includes people with different backgrounds, which could lead to new friendships or conflict.
Adrian’s way of thinking and his focus on staying true to himself might help him—or work against him—depending on how others respond.
As the season moves forward, how he deals with twists, forms bonds, and makes decisions may play a big part in how far he goes.
