Rapper Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Gregory Moss, recently confirmed dating Jada Pinkett Smith's niece, Jade Pinkett. During his appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast on Wednesday, April 30, Moss opened up about their relationship, hinting at their future plans.

The pair first sparked dating rumors after Jade shared a picture of them celebrating New Year's together in her Instagram stories. Addressing the photo, the rapper told host Shannon Sharpe that he was trying to keep their relationship "low-key."

However, noting that he put himself in Jade's shoes and understood her desire to share a picture together, Bow Wow quipped:

"She wanted to show off and show me off."

The Let Me Hold You hitmaker added:

"Here's this woman. It's New Year's, she's posting stuff. I don't want to make it an issue. She looks beautiful, and I look good."

"I don’t play with stuff like that" — Bow Wow opens up about the possibility of a wedding with Jade Pinkett

In her Instagram story featuring Bow Wow, Jade Pinkett, a professional dancer and model, wrote:

"New Year's, YR 2 for the books."

The caption led many to speculate if the pair have been dating for a while.

The rapper reposted the story without comments, deliberately keeping it "lowkey." When host Shannon Sharpe nudged him to elaborate on his internal struggle, he explained that his social media page "was for (his) fans" and his "work." Noting that they might see her on his account during special occasions like birthdays or celebrations, adding:

"You want to see my girl, go to her page."

While the rapper did not clarify how long he and Jade had been together, he hinted that marriage was not off the books. When Sharpe brought up the subject, he initially laughed, admitting he did not expect the question, but continued:

"Me and her, we've had these talks."

Notably, Bow Wow was previously engaged to model Erica Mena for a year before calling it quits in 2015. He is also a father to Shai Moss with Joie Chavis and Stone Moss with Olivia Sky. The rapper has otherwise kept his private life out of the public eye. Sharing a rare insight into his thoughts, he told Sharpe:

"I’m not against anything, but when I get to that point, or if I ever do get to that point, I want to make sure I’m right. And that’s not only a commitment to (her), that’s a commitment to God. And I don’t play with stuff like that."

He noted that his priority right now was enjoying the moment with Jade Pinkett. He explained that he didn't want to plan their marriage, but he would go with the flow if the course of their relationship got to that point.

Host Sharpe was quick to point out Bow Wow's advice to Nelly, urging him to marry Ashanti, stating:

"How you gonna tell somebody to do something that you ain’t wanna do?"

The Beware of Dog artist, who shares daughter Shai Moss with Joie Chavis and son Stone Moss with Olivia Sky, quipped back:

    "Well, he’s over 50. I’m 38."

Referencing the September 2021 viral Verzuz battle between Fat Joe and Ja Rule, which saw Nelly dashing across the stage to embrace Ashanti, Bow Wow explained that was the moment he realized how much she meant to "big brother" Nelly. He also praised the latter rapper on his decision to commit (Nelly and Ashanti tied the knot in December 2023).

Elsewhere in the interview, Bow Wow reflected on his dating history, noting that he'd had the chance to come across "beautiful women." He explained that though they were longer together, there was no bad blood, and he was "happy" to see them "live out their dreams."

Jade Pinkett has not publicly commented on their relationship.
