Costco has recently identified at least 12 items that may not be safe for use. These include items of everyday use, like bottled water, and also big buys like window AC units, power banks, and even tires.

Some of the items in question were part of the special Costco Next program, which lets people buy from big brands directly but still get the deals from the store. Other items were on the shelves and listed on Costco's website:

The company has asked all buyers across the country not to use some items right now. They should also make sure they give them back or toss them out to avoid any damage or mishaps.

Recently flagged products you should know about

Anker, a charge gear, has pulled back two of its energy packs, the 10K, 22.5W Model A1257 and the Powercore 10000 Model A1263.

They found problems with battery cells from one provider. Even if the chance of these items failing is low, the firm asks everyone not to use these things anymore. The worry is that they might get too hot or even start a fire.

The same care is needed for many air coolers as well. Danby's 8k U-Shape Window Air Cooler and some Midea U-Shape kinds sold by known names like Frigidaire, Insignia, and Comfort Aire have been flagged for bad drain design.

If water does not leave fast, mold can grow inside, which risks the health of people in wet or moist places. The Consumer Product Safety Commission tells all who use these to turn them off now to stay away from health problems.

On the road, there is a pullback of Michelin’s Agilis CrossClimate tires in size 185/60R15C. They do not pass a key safety test for how long they can last, a flaw that could make chunks of tire rubber come off while driving. Bridgestone’s Blizzak 6 tires, size 235/40R19, are also in trouble.

Not because they don’t work right, but as they were sent out without the needed Department of Transportation mark. Even though the tires work as they should, not having the mark could lead to wrong use or placement, and this increases the chance of mishaps if they're not set up the right way.

BowFlex's changeable weights are also being called back. People said that the weight parts might slide off the handle while being used, and this could hurt someone. Outside stuff is at risk, too. Igloo's big 90 Qt Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers might hurt your fingers badly. The two handles aren't made well and one could have their fingers caught between the handles.

Ninja's popular Foodi Pressure Cooker + Air Fryer combo is being recalled over events where the lid could open while the cooker is still under pressure, which might cause burns.

On the food front, some Topo Chico Mineral Water sold in parts of Texas and Louisiana might have germs that occur on their own, known as pseudomonas bacteria, which can make people with weak immune systems sick.

Meanwhile, Fresh and Ready Foods has issued a recall for some premade sandwiches and salads in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Washington. This is because they might have Listeria monocytogenes - a germ that can lead to severe sickness, miscarriages, or even death in some people.

All in all, these product recalls tell us we must pay attention to safety alerts and act fast when told about them. Any item, no matter how often we use it and how safe it seems- like the power pack in your bag, the box you take camping, or the salad you pick up for lunch, could be risky if it has a hidden fault. People should always look at official sites, follow all directions, and make sure to swap or get their money back to stay safe.

    Advice for concerned customers

Costco wants its users to act fast when a product recall is announced. People should stop using any recalled goods at once to avoid any risk. If some goods have risky parts, like bad batteries, it is best for users to keep them away safely to stop fires or other dangers.

To fix the problem, you can take back the bad items to any Costco for a full refund, no questions asked. For food items that are recalled, Costco suggests people discard them.

They also tell buyers to look at the lot numbers and latest recall information on their website.

How much time do you have to return items to Costco?

Costco is famous for its return policy. It lets members give back most things if they're not happy, but some clear limits are set to keep it easy to manage. Shoppers can take back daily items with no big trouble, but for electronics, there's a set 90-day return time.

Local rules might stop giving refunds for alcohol and cigarettes. Some purchases, like flight tickets, music show passes, and rare items such as gold, store Cards, or gift cards, are always final buys. High-cost jewelry like big diamonds needs special checks; they must have their first papers and a professional review before you can return them. At the same time, things like car tires and batteries come with time-bound promises, showing they aren't covered forever like other goods.

Also, if you get something made just for you at Costco's Special Order Kiosk or set up through its Custom Programs, you can't just swap it unless it's faulty or doesn't meet the promised standards.
