"A new beginning for us": Wilson's Secret Sauce co-owner Steven Kelley reacts to Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service team's work

After discovering issues at Wilson's Secret Sauce, Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service team helped the barbecue joint owners overcome that.
  • Recently aired Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service episode 6 took Gordon Ramsay to Wilson's Secret Sauce, Pennsylvania. After going undercover, he found many issues, including cleanliness, management, a huge menu, and more.

After the restaurant owners, Kelley and Steve, admitted they needed help, show host Gordon Ramsay and his team came to their aid. Before that, viewers witnessed a confrontation where staff members faced many questions from the host.

Regarding the help that the restaurant needed, Wilson's Secret Sauce Co-owner Steven Kelley confessed to the cameras:

"To continue the marriage and the restaurant, Steve definitely has to just be honest with everybody about everything because I am at my breaking point. I work my a*s off. Feel appreciated, you know. I'm hoping that this is a new beginning for us for sure."

Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service episode 6: Gordon helps Steve and Kelley to solve both personal and professional problems

After confronting the staff members, including the co-owners of Wilson's Secret Sauce, Gordon Ramsay spoke with them about their restaurant. The sixth episode of Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service featured Ramsay inquiring about how the staff has been managing everything.

He learned that they were family members who shared a "very close bond."

"Kelley, this is a tough day for you, and I understand why. Um, the pressures are insane, and there's no family that deserves to be sandbagged with that amount of pressure," said Gordon.

He added how the staff was the family, and they were all "loyal" as they all wanted Steve to succeed.

However, to do that, Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service host said, Steve needed to learn the "basic fundamentals." He was talking about how to run a restaurant. It was because Steve didn't have the experience required to do that, as he ran a catering business before that.

Ramsay then took Steve aside and had a private chat about the menu. There were 75 items on it, which was a shock for him.

"75 items on this freaking menu," reacted Gordon Ramsay.

They burned the menus on the kitchen stove. Steve confessed to the cameras that he had nobody to help me, and that he didn't know how to ask for help. He added that having someone to help had gotten him emotional, because it was the first time for him.

Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service host told Steve that he had a loyal family. He assured him that they would "turn" it around. There were two primary issues: an inexperienced owner and an overcrowded dining room. While the team worked on that, Gordon took Steve out for a ride.

The two got on the road and rode their bikes. Gordon confessed that Steve needed to be honest. That would help his business as well as his personal life with Kelley.

Soon, Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service host had a serious conversation with Steve. It was about the debt the restaurant had and its effects. He told Steve to share everything with his family. He then told Steve that Kelley would be there so that they could have a private chat. He could come clean about everything and start fresh after that.

"Give her the insight that she deserves," said Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service host.

Kelley arrived, and she had a conversation with Steve. The two got emotional while sharing details about the restaurant and their feelings. After that, she hoped it would be a new beginning for them.
