Juan Oliphant is an inseparable part of Ocean Ramsey's journey as a skilled underwater cinematographer and environmentalist. Aside from being her husband, Juan also works with Ocean to record shark behavior and fight for their safety. Premiered on June 30, Shark Whisperer, the documentary focuses on Ocean Ramsey's love for sharks. Directed by JP Stiles, Harrison Macks, and James Reed, this documentary focuses on Ocean’s passionate journey to change the negative perception of sharks.

She talks about her childhood on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, in the documentary, from where her interest in sharks began. Throughout the documentary, she fights for the safety of these predators who aren't given enough credit. She also highlights how they are often portrayed negatively in pop culture and the media.

The documentary also shows her journey as an advocate, including how the huge number of shark deaths every year threatens their existence. In Shark Whisperer, Ocean's personal stories and relationships, such as how her husband Juan Oliphant supports her mission, are also shown.

The movie also shows how Ocean and her husband, Juan Oliphant, interact with each other. Oliphant is an important part of Ocean's efforts to protect sharks.

As a marine conservationist, Juan Oliphant has been fighting for the safety of sharks

Juan Oliphant is an underwater cinematographer and marine conservationist. He is recognized for his contribution to shark preservation. He shares his wife Ocean Ramsey’s commitment to mass education on the importance of sharks to marine ecosystems.

Oliphant became keen about sharks when he was very young. He was born and raised in Hawaii on the North Shore of Oahu. Gradually, he learned to scuba dive and free dive when he was seven years old. Being close to the ocean as a child made him want to protect it all his life.

After going to Brigham Young University to study fine arts and photography, Oliphant worked with Sea Shepherd all over the world to stop illegal fishing and whaling. Because he worked with sharks and other sea creatures, he was even more determined to protect them.

With his wife, Ocean Ramsey, Juan took initiative in starting One Ocean Diving. This is one of the most important things he has done to protect sharks. One Ocean Diving was one of the first companies that didn't use cages when they did shark diving. The company that brought free diving with sharks to the US gave people a one-of-a-kind chance to swim with sharks in the wild.

Through One Ocean Diving, Juan and Ocean want to bring more attention to shark conservation by giving people chances to learn and do things. People can get close to these pretty animals and learn why it's important to keep them safe at the same time.

As an underwater cinematographer, Juan Oliphant plays a big part in shark conservation. He also works hard to build lasting relationships between people and sharks. Scientists and people in general have a better understanding of sharks thanks to his skill at writing down what they do. The couple's work together has made them important figures in the fight to protect sharks.

Juan Oliphant documents underwater life and works to protect it. Alongside her husband, Ocean Ramsey shares a deep love for marine life.
