Love Is Blind season 1 stars Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton, who found love on the dating experiment, have officially become parents as they welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Ezra William Hamilton on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 8:18 pm.
The couple announced the news through a joint carousel post on Instagram with a series of heartwarming pictures of their child on Monday, October 20, 2025. The caption read:
To God be the GLORY! Our son, Ezra William Hamilton, made his debut October 1st ,a little earlier than planned, but perfectly on God’s time.
After an unexpected turn with preeclampsia and a few days in the hospital, we’ve been taking it slow… healing, resting, and soaking up all the love.
They announced the news in May 2025 by posting a trailer style video on Instagram where they glimpsed all their sweet and happy moments along with the pregnancy confirmation news in a chronological order of their journey since Love is Blind.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the couple revealed their baby's middle name signifies Lauren's father who died last year, as Lauren describes it'
"After my dad passed, we were organizing his things and we found a Bible that had been his mother’s. When we opened it, the Bible opened to the book of Ezra and a picture of dad fell out. That was a sign."
Talking about the moment he looked at his son for the first time, Cameron told People:
"I got to see him open his eyes for the first time and in that moment I thought, 'I have to protect him for the rest of my life'."
Lauren and Cameron felt an immediate spark on their first date and they became the first pod members to get engaged during season 1 of Love is Blind.
But following the years of their marriage, the couple struggled and faced challenges in their fertility journey.
They tried to conceive for four years experiencing multiple rounds of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) to grow their family.
Cameron gets emotional as he recalled Lauren going through the rough phase of IVF process as they tried to conceive. He says that:
"Knowing that IVF wasn’t something that you naturally wanted to do, but you did it for me, you showed me a new level of love that I’d never seen before."
Lauren and Cameron spoke candidly about the emotional toll of that process, in an inerview with People in May, 2025.
Cameron shared that they had been eagerly counting down the days until they could take a pregnancy test following their IVF procedure.
He recalled that they used a Clearblue test and placed it face down while waiting for the result.
When they finally flipped it over and saw the word pregnant, it was a relief as Lauren adds in the last. She further adds:
"Because, well, we've taken a few pregnancy tests and when you use the ones with the lines, it could be anxiety driven because it's like, 'Is that what I think?' So seeing the word pregnant, it was amazing. We just looked at each other. I fell to my knees and cried."
Lauren also described how she was coping with the loss of her father at the same time therefore this pregnancy was the light they needed in their darkness as she says,
"I lost my father [at] Christmas of last year. And so we took this test the end of January, beginning of February, so this was literally light in the darkness. This was like, wow. The spark that my whole family needed. We've been trying for a long time."
