TV personality Molly-Mae Hague recently confirmed reconciling with Love Island UK co-star Tommy Fury. In the latest episode of the documentary series Molly-Mae: Behind It All, Hague revealed she and the pro boxer were back together.
In the sixth episode of the show, the English influencer reflected on the state of their relationship during a confessional. She explained:
"How we are right now is the reason that I’ve sort of held on this whole time to us, because I know just how amazing we can be."
Noting that the "version" of Fury she sees "right now" was the best she has seen, Hague continued:
"Maybe if this carries on, each day that goes past, the days turn into weeks, the weeks turn into months, and the next thing you know, we’ve had years go by of just having this consistent, amazing couple that I know we can be."
Molly-Mae Hague met Tommy Fury while starring on the reality show Love Island and began dating soon after. The pair, who share a two-year-old daughter Bambi, announced their separation in August 2024.
Molly-Mae Hague first met Tommy Fury in June 2019 while starring on the reality show Love Island UK. The pair began dating on the show and became a fan-favorite couple (they completed the show as runners-up). According to People magazine, their love blossomed outside the show, and by September 2019, the pair moved in together (bought their first apartment together).
In January 2023, they welcomed their daughter, Bambi, announcing her birth in a joint Instagram post. In July, they shared the news of their engagement on the platform.
However, a year later (August 2024), Molly-Mae Hague took to her Instagram to announce their separation. The pair did not elaborate on the details but noted Bambi was their priority.
Rumors of a reconciliation between the estranged lovers spread after they were reportedly photographed kissing at a New Year's Eve party. In a January 2025 interview with the BBC, Molly-Mae Hague called their situation "really complicated." When questioned about the picture, the 25-year-old neither confirmed nor denied it but said that it was a "whole new territory" for her.
Molly-Mae also shot down speculations that their split was just a publicity stunt, telling the outlet:
"I wish it was a publicity stunt, because it would be a lot easier. Because going through all of this, with the turmoil of a breakup, has been incredibly hard."
She continued to highlight that it was "really hard" navigating things being in the public eye and having a child together.
Around that time, Tommy Fury, in his sit-down with Men's Health, opened up about a surgery that severely affected his mental health. He explained that 2023 was the "best year" he had, noting he had won two multimillion-pound fights, gotten engaged, and welcomed his daughter with Hague. However, an old hand injury ("snapped all the ligaments") worsened, and he had to undergo "reconstructive surgery."
Following the procedure, he was told to stay away from boxing for ten months (minimum). Fury confessed that it affected his mental health, and he turned to alcohol. This subsequently led to his separation from then-fiancée Molly-Mae Hague.
Slamming speculations that they broke up over his cheating, Fury told the magazine:
"We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be anymore. It kills me to say it, but I couldn't. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink."
In March, Molly-Mae Hague took to her Instagram to share pictures from her trip to Dubai with Bambi. Fans began speculating Fury was on vacation with them. It was later confirmed after the boxer shared images of himself and Bambi to his own account.
Per Cosmopolitan, in her YouTube vlog, the 25-year-old TV personality told her fans that she wasn't ready to talk about their private lives yet. She detailed feeling nervous and anxious over the same. She stated:
"When you have a relationship in the public eye, trying to rebuild that relationship or work on that relationship or see if you have something worth saving, you can't figure things out the way a normal relationship would. You can't do the normal things a couple trying to work on their relationship normally do like going on walks or getting coffee."
Per the outlet, Hague commented on Tommy's drinking during a January Behind It All episode (the show is split into two parts of three episodes each, the first dropping on January 17 and the latter half on May 17). She suggested that Fury's drinking took a toll on their relationship. But added that she hoped they would get back together.
During Tommy's interview with Good Morning Britain on May 7 before his comeback match in Budapest against Kenan Hanjalic, the boxer asserted that 2025 was going to be the "best year" of his life. He added he was happy "mentally."
According to the BBC, in episode 6, Molly-Mae Hague described her relationship with Tommy Fury as one "worth saving." However, she noted that they would take "things slow" as they slowly rebuild as a couple. Hague asserted:
"I love Tommy so much and I love our family so much that I'm willing to ride the wave. And that's not something that everyone wants to do, but it's something that I'm willing to do because I want my family."
She also addressed Fury's drinking, asserting that he hadn't had one over the last four months. The former Love Island contestant elaborated that she remained cautious, stating she didn't think "the drink's gone away forever." She added that while it could be a potential "problem," their break-up "showed Tommy that (she was) serious. " Hauge noted that Fury was "really different these days."
