YouTuber Armon Wiggins has issued a public apology after being seen celebrating Diddy's trial verdict with baby oil outside the Manhattan federal courthouse. On Thursday, July 3, 2025, the influencer took to his Instagram to share a lengthy post addressing his actions.

On Wednesday, Wiggins, alongside a bunch of Combs' supporters, celebrated the rapper's acquittal by drenching each other in baby oil, an item that played a major role in the proceedings. Viral videos of the incident were met with a strong backlash online. Addressing the criticism, the influencer reasoned that the clip was "taken out of context," adding:

"What started as a lighthearted moment part of a long-running joke with my audience was interpreted as support for Sean "Diddy" Combs. That was never my intention."

Following almost two months of proceedings, the jury found Combs guilty on two counts of transportation with intent to engage in prostitution. But they acquitted him of more serious crimes related to s*x trafficking and racketeering.

"I’m learning, I’m listening"—Armon Wiggins about the baby oil stunt after Diddy's verdict was announced

In his Instagram post, Armon Wiggins explained that over the course of Diddy's trial, he worked to cover the case with "honesty and objectivity." Referencing the scene outside the courthouse, he wrote:

"That moment was about sharing a bit of levity with the community that's been on this journey and nothing more."

Videos circulating on social media show a shirtless Wiggins in the middle of a crowd yelling, "More oil!" as someone poured baby oil on his back. Another clip showed a woman in a blue wig dancing and jumping while chanting, "I want the baby oil."

Armon continued to acknowledge that he understood how his actions were misconstrued, stating:

"I fully understand how the timing and optics may have felt hurtful, especially to surviors of abuse. I sincerely apologize to anyone who was impacted or disappointed."

Wiggins noted that the stunt served as a reminder for him to "move with greater care." He asserted that he was committed to working with "integrity and heart." He captioned the post:

"I’m learning, I’m listening, and I’m moving forward with even more care and clarity."

Baby oil played an important role in the prosecution's case against Diddy. Last year, Homeland Security began investigating him for s*x trafficking. This saw federal officials raiding the rapper's homes in Miami and Los Angeles, where they confiscated more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil.

In Combs' fourteen-page indictment, prosecutors mentioned the moisturizer more than a dozen times. They claimed he used baby oil during his days-long, drug-fueled "freak off" orgies. These alleged parties involved Diddy's girlfriends and male escorts participating in "elaborate and produced s*x performances."

During the trial, Combs' ex-girlfriend testified that baby oil was frequently used during the freak-offs, noting that the rapper wanted it "heated" and "glistening."

In a separate post, Armon Wiggins criticized that media had been using "misLEADING (sic) HEADLINES" to claim he supported Diddy. Another post saw the influencer sharing an old video of him pouring baby oil on himself, with the caption:

"I been oiling up and doing funny re enactments for 2 months straight yall not gone kill my joy KIZZZ MY AHH!! MORE OIL! Had nothing to do with CLICK BAIT TITLES DONT PISS ME OFF."

Armon is a comedian and social media personality known to share content surrounding celebrity culture. According to Famous Birthdays, the YouTuber has previously posted content discussing Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez on his channel, The Armon Wiggins Show.

While Diddy has been acquitted of more serious charges, the prostitution-related ones could see him going to prison for a long time. Notably, each carries a maximum sentence of ten years.

Further, according to Hot New Hip Hop, Judge Arun Subramanian rejected the defense's bond proposal, ruling that the rapper would remain behind bars until sentencing. He scheduled the hearing for October 3 but added that he'd consider moving the date upon the request of the defense counsel.
