A British member of parliament accuses Homer Simpson of encouraging sexism because he’s a stereotype of a “hapless” dad

"Men's roles as fathers in our society is an incredibly important role that has often been dismissed and undermined,” British MP Jo Swinson said during a debate in the House of Commons today. "You just look at some of the stereotypes in popular culture, the Homer Simpson type of dads just being hapless not being able to be up to the job. When actually men are just capable as women at being parents, there is a myth that women are naturally better at parenting."
