A retired Chicago police detective "didn't appreciate" being mocked on John Mulaney's new Netflix special

Mulaney devoted about 10 minutes of his Kid Gorgeous standup special to Detective J.J. Bittenbinder, who would come to his school every year to discuss "street smarts." "Go ahead and laugh, his name is ridiculous,” said Mulaney of the cop.  The Chicago Tribune caught up with Bittenbinder, who said he "didn't appreciate" Mulaney making fun of his last name.
