Craig Erwich, president of ABC Entertainment and Hulu Originals, says some pilots such as National Parks, Epic and Promised Land are still being completed so their future will be determined at a later date. “The good news is that we have a year-round development process so we’re focused on the creative versus a very specific timeline," he says. "The timeline is not the master of creative quality so giving the showrunners the space they need to do their work is the priority.” As for the Baldwin-Grammer sitcom, Erwich says: “Alec and Kelsey are incredibly talented performers, it was a year where we made some tough choices around new shows, we had creative that we wanted to focus on that didn’t include Alec and Kelsey. It really wasn’t a fit for our audience, ultimately. That doesn’t take away from what Chris Lloyd, Alec and Kelsey accomplished.” ALSO: Erwich says Rebel was canceled after the network gave it a "really considerable launch and a launch effort" and "it did not garner the audience that we needed it to do."
