ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke said at the TV press tour she didn't regret the former White House press secretary's appearance on the show, despite audience complaints that he made the show political with President Trump urging his fans to vote for Spicer. “It’s a ballroom dancing show, it is not a political show, and the contestants came with the spirit of that," said Burke. "Ultimately, this is a show in which the audience votes, and the audience voted (to keep Spicer week after week). And ultimately the right person (former Bachelorette Hannah Brown) won.” ALSO: ABC expects to renew Dancing with the Stars for Season 29.
