Briana Thomas, who played a background role of a barista on the CBS soap opera, has filed suit against Sony Pictures Television, which produces The Young and the Restless, and CBS Studios, reports Variety. She alleges that showrunner Anthony “Tony” Morina made repeated advances toward her, commented on her body, offered her a “private acting lesson” and fired her when she rebuffed him. At one point, he allegedly touched her waist and played with her bikini strings during a poolside scene, according to the lawsuit. As Variety notes, the lawsuit, filed Thursday, comes as Sony TV is dealing with the fallout over the hiring of Mike Richards as Jeopardy! host. Richards had been sued for harassment and yesterday apologized for past sexist comments made on his podcast.
