The actor best known for his mid-1980s CBS military helicopter action drama Airwolf actually died on Feb. 10 of cardiac arrest in a North Carolina hospital, but his death wasn't reported until today. Vincent played Stringfellow Hawke, a pilot for an advanced prototype supersonic helicopter with stealth capabilities and a formidable arsenal, for three seasons on CBS from 1984 to 1986. Airwolf aired a fourth season on USA. Vincent was also nominated for a Golden Globe for the 1983 ABC miniseries The Winds of War.
