Alex Garland says his next FX series won't be sci-fi: "It’s about civil obedience and it’s in the here and now"

The Devs creator and Ex Machina and Annihilation filmmaker said at the TV press tour his next FX project won't be in the sci-fi realm. "The next thing I’m going to try to do is another television show with FX," he said. "I’m in the process of writing it. I’ve written the first episode and am half way through the second episode. They (FX) haven’t seen anything. When I deliver it, and if they want to make it, then that’s where we’ll be."
