CBC's original Being Erica, created by Jana Sinyor, ran for four seasons between 2009 and 2011. It starred Erin Karpluk as Erica Strange, a woman who begins seeing a therapist to deal with regrets in her life, only to discover the therapist that she's seeing has the ability to send her back in time to relive events in her past and even change them. Sex and the City writers Elisa Zuritsky and Julie Rottenberg will pen a loose adaptation of the show. "The remake tells the story of two women — strangers with seemingly nothing in common — seeking the help of an eccentric therapist who enables them to travel back in time to revisit their biggest regrets," per Deadline. "Along the way, they’re shocked to discover their lives are inextricably intertwined." Williams, who famously starred on Girls, said: “I was a huge fan of the original series and I jumped at the opportunity to get involved to help give it a new life." No network or streamer is yet attached to the reboot.
