The Veronica Mars and Big Love alum, who is nominated for best actress at this year's Oscars for Mank, will take over the role McKinnon exited in February. Seyfried will play Holmes, the founder of scam blood-testing startup Theranos in the limited series based on based on ABC News' podcast of the same name that was announced two years ago. Seyfried will also serve as a producer on the project, which is expected to start filming this summer.
