Amazon got 11 local TV stations to parrot the same propaganda promoting the company

An Amazon spokesperson convinced 11 stations to have its anchors read the exact same script that was created by an Amazon spokesperson, according to Timothy Burke, who in 2018 exposed Sinclair TV stations for doing something similar with its news personalities in pushing pro-Trump propaganda. At least one station, WPLG, has apologized for airing the Amazon propaganda, while the news director of WVVA said: “I was not aware the package was provided by Amazon. We’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
