Andrea Savage's I'm Sorry canceled amid work on Season 3 due to the coronavirus

The TruTV comedy is the latest series to be canceled despite being renewed for another season as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, joining Comedy Central's Drunk History and Netflix's The Society. I'm Sorry was renewed for a 10-episode Season 3 in June 2019 that was to air in 2020. Deadline reports that I'm Sorry was two weeks into filming Season 3 when the coronavirus shutdown occurred in March, adding that the cancelation "caught everyone off-guard." “Due to circumstances created by COVID, we unfortunately cannot move forward with production on the third season of I’m Sorry,” TruTV said in a statement. “We admire Andrea Savage’s irreverent voice and fresh take on parenthood and are so proud of the show she and her cast and crew created. She was a great partner for many years and we truly wish everyone well.” Savage released five videos on Twitter and Instagram giving context to the cancelation, which she says happened "mid production." "If anyone is looking for a show that has 10 eps already written, partially shot and ready to go, you know where to find us!" she wrote, adding that she and her team "fought as hard as we could, but forces bigger than us are at play. We love you. We will be okay. I am not going anywhere. You can’t get rid of me or my large teeth that easily."
