Arlene Golonka, who played waitress Millie on The Andy Griffith Show and spinoff Mayberry R.F.D., dies at 85

Golonka joined The Andy Griffith Show in 1967 as a potential love interest for Jack Dodson's bookish bachelor Howard Sprague. She became a regular the following year on spinoff Mayberry R.F.D. Golonka had numerous guest-starring appearances on TV shows from the 1959 through 2005, when she guest-starred on The King of Queens.
