About 100 LGBTQ staffers met Monday via Zoom to vent their frustrations over the BBC's handling of LGBTQ issues. Some have even quit their BBC jobs. A bisexual woman who opted to leave her senior job told Vice News: “The BBC is a hostile place to be LGBT at the moment. I could not continue working for an organization that refuses to listen to its staff and continues to behave irresponsibly, touting transphobic nonsense and declaring it impartial. The BBC will be on the wrong side of history and I can’t be here to see it behave so embarrassingly.”
