Authors Anne Rice and Joan Didion were also missing from the 6-1/2 minute In Memoriam segment. The omission of Saget -- who directed Macdonald in the 1998 film Dirty Work -- was particularly striking since he won a Student Academy Award in 1977 and starred in a video on the Oscars' YouTube channel in 2013.
