The cop comedy will be back for Season 7 on Feb. 6 and will return for Season 8 next season. The renewal means Brooklyn Nine-Nine will spend at least three seasons on NBC following Fox's cancelation after Season 5. The pickup also gives NBC's comedy lineup some stability with Will & Grace and The Good Place departing. The show's official Twitter account tweeted a video of the renewal announcement, adding: "Good things come to those who w8. The #Brooklyn99 squad will be coming back for Season 8 on NBC!" Brooklyn Nine-Nine has performed well on NBC, averaging 6.4 million viewers after 35 days of multiplatform viewing.
