CBS News President Susan Zirinsky rejected the Page Six story published this morning alleging that King "demanded O’Donnell be moved off the show as part of her recent contract negotiations." “This headline is offensive and 100 percent false," Zirinsky said in a statement. Page Six reported that O'Donnell was leaving the CBS News morning program, most likely to become the new anchor of CBS Evening News. John Dickerson is also exiting for 60 Minutes. Variety later confirmed the CBS This Morning shakeup.
