Starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Gayle King and her co-hosts Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil will switch over to a far-away studio, requiring them to "climb several floors and scamper down long hallways" for a brand-new studio audience, according to Variety. “It will be a bit of a run for our anchors, but we have some TV tricks up our sleeves to make sure they have time to get there,” says CBS This Morning executive producer Diana Miller. “We have mapped out a path multiple times. We know which elevators to hold.” Miller says of adding a studio audience to the third-place network morning news show: “We are pretty lucky to have two hours every morning, and we are really anxious to push the envelope as to how we use it.”
