CBS gives a pilot order to Queen Latifah-led The Equalizer reboot

The actress will take on the Edwards Woodward role in the reboot of the four-season 1980s CBS drama, first revealed last November. The new Equalizer, from Castle creators Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller, is described as "a reimagining of the classic series, with Queen Latifah attached to portray an enigmatic figure who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn."
