CBS sues a man for posting an image from a 1958 Gunsmoke episode on Twitter

CBS is seeking up to $150,000 in damages, claiming the man used its “valuable intellectual property" without permission. The lawsuit is highly unusual since people post screenshots of TV shows on Twitter all the time. But there appears to be a retaliatory reason behind the lawsuit. According to TorrentFreak, the man sued CBS Interactive in February for allegedly using one of his copyright images on the website 247sports.com.
