Original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox have been approached for the potential revival series, but no offers have been made, according to Deadline. The idea is for the event series to be a sequel to the original Las Vegas-set CSI led by former Elementary executive producer Jason Tracey. CSI premiered 20 years ago this fall, on Oct. 6, 2000. Deadline adds that "no deals for the potential CSI revival are done, and that the project is still in early stages and may not come together within a reasonable financial framework. Reps for CBS and CBS TV Studios declined comment."
