"Jungle Jack" Hannah, known for his numerous appearances with David Letterman and other late-night hosts, recently stepped down as director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in December, a role which he held for 42 years. His daughters revealed his recent diagnosis of dementia in a letter posted to social media. The family now believes his illness has progressed rapidly into Alzheimer’s disease.
