Danny Goldman, who voiced Brainy Smurf on The Smurfs, dies at 80

"It’s with great sadness that I must tell you that Danny Goldman has passed away," his agent Doug Ely wrote on Facebook. "He passed peacefully at home today amongst family and friends, after having suffered a couple of strokes around New Years." Goldman voiced Brainy Smurf on the original 1980s Smurfs animated series. He reprised Brainy Smurf on four episodes of Adult Swim's Robot Chicken.
