“Not for a second,” Letterman tells The Washington Post when asked if he misses his old job. But he does have some regrets, including waiting until he was in his late 50s to have his first child -- he wishes his son, who turns 14 in November, had a sibling -- and waiting until 2003 to become properly medicated to deal with his psychological issues. Letterman, who’s being honored this weekend with the Mark Twain Prize for Humor, doesn’t want to relive his late-night past. He put his hand over his face when his assistant compiled clips for the ceremony. Still, Letterman is not a shut-in, having appeared in recent months on Howard Stern, Norm Macdonald’s video podcast, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and the St. Louis local show Them Yo People.
