David Letterman to mark the 40th anniversary of his Late Night launch on Late Night with Seth Meyers

Next Tuesday marks the 40th anniversary of Late Night with David Letterman's Feb. 1, 1982 debut. To mark the anniversary, Letterman will make his second visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers. Meyers announced the news on his show Monday. Letterman last visited Late Night in 2018. Letterman hosted Late Night from 1982 until 1993, moving to CBS for Late Show with David Letterman, which he hosted from 1993 to 2015 for a total of 33 years as a late-night host. Meyers is the fourth host of the Late Night franchise, having hosted since 2014.
