Dear White People creator Justin Simien signs deal to develop new TV shows

Simien is extending his relationship with Lionsgate, which helped him release the Dear White People movie and Netflix TV series. Under the deal, Simien will develop original series. “Lionsgate embraces the creative vision of its artists and is committed to ground-breaking original content for its audiences,” say Simien in a statement.
