Goodman will be unable to fly to Los Angeles from his home in England due to the coronavirus pandemic, so Hough has agreed to serve as the third judge on Season 29 of the ABC reality competition. “This show has been and will always be incredibly special to me," said Hough, who left after Season 23 to join NBC's World of Dance as a judge, this morning on Good Morning America. "Coming back feels like coming home and I couldn’t be more excited to be back in the ballroom.” Hough will join returning judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli in the ballroom. Although Goodman will be unable to be in the ballroom, he'll share his expertise on the show from his home in Britain. Hough is the second member of his family to serve as a Dancing judge after sister Julianne Hough's stint as a judge in Seasons 19-21, 23 and 24. ALSO: Dancing's coronavirus precautions include no audience, no band, remote cameras, a widened judges' desk for social distancing and asking dancers to stand eight feet from the judges.
