TMZ’s report that a Prince hologram would be part of Justin Timberlake halftime show — which the Minneapolis Star Tribune confirmed — prompted outrage on Twitter, including from Prince’s family, who said they never approved a hologram. It was also pointed out that the Minneapolis native once called a hologram performance “the most demonic thing imaginable.” “Prince told me don’t ever let anyone do a hologram of me. Not cool if this happens!,” tweeted Sheila E., Prince’s longtime friend, musical director and drummer. Late on Saturday night, Sheila E. tweeted: “Family, I spoke w/Justin 2nite and he shared heartfelt words of respect for Prince & the Purple fans. I look 4wrd 2 seeing what I’m sure is going 2 be a spectacular halftime show. There is no hologram.”
