Police were called to do a welfare check at Marquez's South Pasadena home on Thursday afternoon. Marquez, 49, who was best known for playing nurse Wendy Goldman on ER from 1994 to 1997, was suffering from a seizure when police arrived. Officers spoke to Marquez, who appeared to be suffering from mental issues, with the help of paramedics for 90 minutes, at which point she became combative and pointed a BB gun made to look like a semi-automatic handgun. Police shot Marquez and she was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Marquez made headlines last October when, in the wake of Harvey Weinstein scandal, she alleged she was sexually and racially harassed on the ER set. “Clooney helped blacklist me when I spoke up abt harassment on ER.’women who dont play the game lose career’I did,” she tweeted. Clooney later responded that he never blacklisted her.
