Easy creator: Netflix doesn't like anthology series anymore

Joe Swanberg hoped to make 30 seasons of Easy. Instead, he's done with three seasons and 25 episodes. “I talked to Netflix about it, and they’re basically moving away from the anthology format,” he tells Indiewire, adding that "the anthology format and Netflix’s binge-watching vibe were not a great fit.”
