The New York Observer recently filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the FCC to see how many angry letters the 12-season CBS sitcom generated. Complaints ranged from dialogue being too explicit to using vanilla versions of naughty jokes to annoying commercials. “The following Monday on Big Bang Theory (I think) ‘genitalia’ was used and tonight (10/5/2015) ‘male genitalia’ was also used on Big Bang Theory,” wrote one viewer. Another wrote: “During the broadcast of The Big Bang Theory one of the main characters said to another ‘What a puss.' This is clearly just a shortened form of the word p*ssy.”
