Headland, Russian Doll's co-creator, showrunner and executive producer who directed several episodes, is developing what could become Disney+'s fourth Star Wars series, according to Variety. "Details of the exact plot of the series are being kept under wraps, but sources say it will be a female-centric series that takes place in a different part of the Star Wars timeline than other projects," reports Variety's Joe Otterson. "Headland is said to be attached to write and serve as showrunner on the series, with the show currently staffing." Headland co-created the critically acclaimed Russian Doll, which won three Emmys after earning 13 nominations last year, with Natasha Lyonne and Amy Poehler. Headland's potential series would join the Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Cassian Andor/Rogue One prequel series as being in development at Disney+. ALSO: Headland's Star Wars deal was actually completed months ago and she even attended the L.A. premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in December.
