The electrical engineer and roboticist who hosted the popular Discovery Channel series died suddenly Monday following a brain aneurysm, reports The Hollywood Reporter. "We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family," Discovery Channel said in a statement. Imahara joined MythBusters for its third season, replacing Scottie Chapman. He departed in 2014 along with fellow co-hosts Kari Byron and Tori Belleci. In 2016, the trio reunited for Netflix's one-season series White Rabbit Project. On Monday evening, Byron shared many pictures of Imahara, tweeting: "We had so many adventures. You taught me so much." Belleci also reacted to Imahara's death, tweeting: "I just cannot believe it. I don’t even know what to say. My heart is broken. Goodbye buddy." Fellow co-host Adam Savage added: "I’m at a loss. No words. I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist and performer, but also just such a generous, easygoing, and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend."
