Former Shark Tank contestant charged with being part of a cocaine ring

John DePaola was among nine defendants recently arrested in New Jersey and charged with a conspiracy to possess cocaine. The 53-year-old DePaola appeared on the ABC reality show pitching his idea for a paint brush cover.  The Ashbury Park Press reports: "Authorities charged John A. DePaola, 53, of Jackson with one count of conspiracy to possess cocaine, a third-degree crime, after executing five search warrants simultaneously on Dec. 14. An attorney for DePaola denied the allegations."
