As part of changes taking effect next week, Martha MacCallum will move from 7 p.m. ET to 3 p.m., Harris Faulkner will no longer host Outnumbered Overtime a 1 p.m. and will now host The Faulkner Focus at 11 a.m., Chief White House Correspondent John Roberts will co-anchor will host a new two-hour program with Sandra Smith and Bill Hemmer will host a relaunched America's Newsroom with Dana Perino. As part of the changes, Fox News will replace news with opinion at 7 p.m. ET as it faces ratings pressure from competing conservative outlets like Newsmax. "Adding an opinion program at 7 p.m in the hour before Fox News conservative stalwarts Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham take over in prime time is clearly a response to the new competition," says Stephen Battaglio. "While Fox News prime-time shows have also seen their competitive standing slip behind CNN and MSNBC, they are not experiencing the kind of audience losses seen during the day."
