"Fox News does not condone any talent participating in campaign events," the cable news network said in a statement Tuesday. "We have an extraordinary team of journalists helming our coverage tonight and we are extremely proud of their work. This was an unfortunate distraction and has been addressed." According to CNN, Hannity and Pirro's appearance with Trump in Missouri irked some Fox News staffers. "It disturbs me to my core. I am so f*cking mad," an anonymous senior Fox News employee told CNN. Hannity, who countered reports and the Trump campaign's own announcement that he would be appearing on stage with the president on Monday, said on his radio show today: "Despite everyone's conjecture in the press, I did not know the president was going to invite me on stage. It surprised me."
