Fox received a Penn State-Purdue college football game from ESPN in exchange for Joe Buck

Buck was able to sign to become the new play-by-play caller for ESPN's Monday Night Football, despite him having one year left on his Fox contract, because ESPN agreed to give up one of its Big Ten early season games to Fox. That game is Penn State-Purdue, which will air on Thursday, Sept. 1.
