Fox renews Last Man Standing and The Resident

Tim Allen's comedy will return for a ninth season, its third on Fox, while medical drama The Resident has been picked up for Season 4. The renewals leave only freshmen series Prodigal Son and Outmatched as being on the bubble at Fox.
