Fox successfully petitions to allow the mostly pre-taped Rent: Live to compete in Emmys' variety special live category

Most of the Fox January TV musical came from a pre-taped dress rehearsal due to Brennin Hunt's injury, but Rent: Live will be allowed to be in the live category since it was performed without edit or interruption before a live audience.
