The acclaimed Oscar-winning director, whose The Godfather turns 50 on Thursday, was asked by Variety about the upcoming Paramount+ limited series, which is told from producer Albert S. Ruddy's perspective. “That’s the point of view of, I guess, the producer but it doesn’t really reflect what really happened, in my opinion," Coppola, who is portrayed by Dan Fogler on The Offer, told Variety. While Ruddy, played by Miles Teller, took home the Oscar for Best Picture for The Godfather, he wasn't involved with The Godfather: Part II, which also won Best Picture.
