There has been talk of a Frasier reboot since July 2018. But it may finally happen after ViacomCBS rebrands CBS All Access as Paramount+, according to TVLine, which adds that Kelsey Grammer would reprise his iconic role as Dr. Frasier Crane. Deadline reports David Hyde Pierce has been approached to reprise his role as Dr. Niles Crane for what would be a 10-episode season. Frasier is a property of Paramount. Deadline reported in 2018 that a Frasier reboot was envisioned "in a new city, with the title character, played by Grammer, as a possible link to the Emmy-winning 1993 series." In August 2018, Grammer said of a potential revival: “(We) have to make sure it’s going to be a great show. If it’s not a great show, and if we don’t hear a pitch that hits it out of the park, it probably won’t happen.” Frasier originally aired for 11 seasons from 1993 to 2004.
