The Disney-owned cable network released a lengthy statement on Twitter Saturday in support of "the incredible, sensational, highly-talented, gorgeous Hailey Bailey" as Ariel in the live-action Little Mermaid remake. Bailey has received some backlash over her casting because of her race.
